Flowers VS Serverblight (The Whistle Occurrence VS Serverblight)
"I'm having so much fun, I feel like I'm BLOOMING with joy!"
Flowers: The "Whistle" terrorizing Roblox since 2013.
Serverblight: The Thing inside Team Fortress 2.
We've all heard the classic story of an evil thing haunting a video game, but between these two newcomers to the genre, who would win this one vs army fight?
PLEASE READ BEFORE CONTINUING
The Whistle Occurence is a very bright and loud series, if you plan on clicking on any links in Flowers' section, please do so with caution. There wont be any of that if possible in this blog, so people with photosensitivity can read safely. Serverblight, while intense, doesn't have this issue, so you're safe in that part.
Also, we're examining these characters with just their respective canons and statements from their creators. If you see any links to imgur or twitter, this is why.
With all that aside, this is our (re)debut!
Background
Flowers
Sometime after Roblox first launched, people began to document a strange, tall and pitch black figure inside their games which emitted high-pitched sounds. This "whistle" began to spread its influence to all of Roblox as a whole, seemingly covering the entire website, but is it trying to be harmful on purpose?
Flowers typically pounces on people doing something "rude" or "harmful" to its victims, such as throwing its NPCs off the map or making comments to another player, Flowers will respond accordingly to their actions. After a group of aspiring YouTubers successfully lured it out and agitated it, Flowers gave the main agitator, Aiden, a small test and demonstration on how to be a good Roblox citizen. After this encounter, Aiden was noticeably quieter in future videos. The Roblox community has dubbed this creature "The Whistle Occurrence."
Despite Roblox being aware of this parasite in their game, nothing they have gone has been able to kill it, and every time it comes back, it's more aggressive than last time, as if its learning.
Serverblight
"We go together"
The blight's origin isn't fully clear but it was first seen in a relatively empty server, when it had only had one or two players assimilated. It stayed within that server for a while, growing and assimilating players who joined until it seized an opportunity and learned to switch servers by clinging onto a player as it let them leave. From then on out its influence started spreading, now that it wasn't being tied to one spot.
Serverblight seems to favor going for players who are familiar with each other, using the likeness of friends or people who've been in game together prior, this isn't always the case but it's something it seems to enjoy when the opportunity is there, it overall seems to enjoy seeing the psychological impact it has on others, and seeing them pushed to their limit.
Despite the large scale of its impact, Valve doesn't seem to have addressed its existence or what it's doing, or isn't aware of it. Serverblight continues to gain traction as larger content creators like SailerMan started making videos about it, which only circled back to benefitting it rather than raising awareness as more players try to investigate it.

Powers / Abilities
Shapeshifting
Without any regard for pain, Flowers is able to stretch and twist its body to an infinite degree.
Pain Tolerance
Flowers is stated to not feel any pain nor emotion (will be elaborated on later).
Mimicry / Account Hijacking
Flowers can steal the accounts of those it is stalking, being able to pose as someone in plain sight. It still retains all its power while in this state, as well as forcibly logging the hijacked out of their account until Flowers is gone. Flowers also talks to others while in this state to further the illusion, and can also replay things people have said.
Moderation Powers
Flowers is able to forcibly remove people from their game. This is one of two methods to pull this off.
Game Manipulation
This is actually a fairly layered ability, as Flowers is able to do a multitude of things with just game manipulation alone, so we're listing all uses of it here:
- Skybox Manipulation: Flowers is able to write and change the sky to however / whatever it wants
- Darkness Manipulation: Flowers is able to control how much of the game is visible or flat out turn everything dark
- Character Control: Flowers is able to strip away control of you character in game, and render any keyboard input useless
- Flowers can also send people to a fake error screens
- And lastly, Flowers can create objects to and move around as them.
BFR / Rehabilitation
Flowers is capable of sending you to somewhere it wants, such as where it stores its NPCs or in Aiden's case, a buggy, unfinished tutorial about how to be a good Roblox user, and a gallery of other potential victims. Flowers is able to do this whenever it wants and sent you wherever it wants.
Forms
Flowers has multiple forms it can switch to on a whim, whenever its in its "PARASITE" form, its the reason why the skybox in games will turn red and black. It's physical form is usual choice though.
Device Manipulation / Destruction
Flowers is capable of interacting with your device outside of the game. Flowers has been able to completely destroy devices, infect via Wi-Fi (shown above) and corrupt data.
The Whistle
Being Flower's flagship ability, The Whistle is a slurry of high-pitched sounds which contains a multitude of side effects such as:
- Hallucinations
- Migraines
- Nausea
- Seizures (in rare cases)
- Multiple undocumented side effects too
Serverblight
Assimilation
Serverblight thrives on assimilating players into its mass, it's capable of transferring the player's consciousness into the game and using them both to further power itself, and to have further reach into servers to assimilate players more efficiently. They can be part of its primary mass, or separate from it, but has control over their behavior regardless. With an understanding of its assimilated, its able to learn more about who its assiilating and use that knowledge for its own gain.
After being assimilated, the assimilated's body and pc are left useless, leaving nothing more than a husk of what was once there. Assimilation is near instant, with a single touch needed to assimilate someone.
Mimicry

Serverblight is capable of mimicking speech, text, and some behaviors of blighted prior to their assimilation. It recognizes friends and people it has seen together, and uses this to its advantage to weaken their guard, in some cases making it seem like a cry for help, or as if they're "still in there". This can extend out into Steam DMs.
Game Manipulation

Serverblight is capable of manipulating anyone in its server's game directly. It can lock servers, and prevent players from leaving. As well as being synchronized into both teams, and some things you wouldn't normally be able to do such as taking weapons from other living players.
Intelligence
It's shown on multiple occasions how rapidly Serverblight learns all kind of game mechanics, concepts even complex ones like religion, and player behavior. This also extends to emotional intelligence, it understands what'll evoke fear, anger, vulnerability, and so on.
Serverblight is capable of remembering people its come across and using that knowledge to torment them with people that have been assimilated.
Shapeshifting / Body Disfiguration
While Blighted typically have distorted body features, combing Blighted allows for them to grow up to the size of buildings or more. Singular blighted are typically able to stretch limbs such as arms longer than they should, but cant change in size unless combined with larger masses.
Equipment / Arsenal
Flowers
NPCs are static or roaming characters which do not possess any internal properties. There are currently three kinds of NPCs Flowers has at it's disposal and can control:
" " - A red and black roamer (shown above) that walk around saying one word.
00W - An interactable NPC, only seen once.
Sad - A green and yellow NPC Flowers uses in its demonstration with Aiden. They are typically stored where Flowers (likely) resides and can be weaponized to chase after people.
Fancy Suit
He's not just perfect, but the freshest too.
Serverblight
Blighted
After a player is assimilated into the Serverblight, their player character becomes apart of the hive mind and controlled however the Serverblight wishes. This control inheretly allows the player's model to distort their shape to limits Team Fortress 2 normally doesn't allow. Blighted become effectively "real" as player's being is still connected to their character, letting them feel pain and see what their player has become. Blighted are able to regenerate from mere gibs.

Blighted have a sense of autonomy, but the Serverblight directly is able to control specific blighted for means of tormenting and tuanting certain people it comes by.
Mercs' Equipment (Debatable)
Mercs' Equipment (Debatable)
While not something Serverblight normally uses, assimilated players should be carrying their weapons, which Serverblight has knowledge on how to use.
SAVIOR
A religious extremist who found comfort in playing TF2, his practically brainwashed views were taken advantage of, and he was made essentially a prophet or spokesperson for blighted and potential victims. He's silver tongued and convincing in his arguments, and an easy influence to weak-minded players.
SAVIOUR's blighted form is a huge and immobile amalgamation of other blighted (and is the largest in the series we've seen) rendering his home perminent, but with the perk of being more sentient than the average blighted. Even after being converted, SAVIOUR is a spokesperson for the Serverblight.
Weaknesses
Flowers
Flowers isnt without weakness however, It is extremely easy to determine if someone you're talking to is Flowers in disguise as it doesn't make any effort to inhabit the writing style of the person its masked as, meaning you can act before it does.
Also, Flowers doesn't inhabit much (or any) emotional thinking, meaning theres no ill will to anything its attacking.
Serverblight
Serverblight has fairly limiting weaknesses too, with it's main hinderance being the fact its still bound to game rules to an extent. Serverblight cannot travel out of map bounds nor hijack your game client directly, only being able to deploy proxy changes like removing your ability to leave the game, but you are still able to votekick it out if you figure that out, meaning its game manipulation isnt all encompassing.
Likewise, Serverblight depends on you having an active connection to the server it's in too. Disconnection via any means (such as Wi-Fi going out or escaping directly,) will automatically free you of it's grasp.
Other Info / Pre Verdict
Assimilation vs Flowers
Arguments For
It's stated that assimilation is a sort of consciousness copy, or transfer, rather than a soul one, so whether or not Flowers could be assimilated mainly depends on whether it has a real consciousness or an imitation of such, like any typical A.I.
Consciousness by definition is being aware of oneself, and characterized sensation, emotion, volition, and thought, all of which flowers is shown to be capable of. While an average A.I only really imitates emotions because it's told to do so in front of humans, Flowers seems to be genuine in its reactive nature and to act out of it's own will and curiosity, not really due to default prompts, or anything like it where it would lack real emotion and sensation and just follow the code exactly as it is without any extra steps, or aggression behind it. All this put together makes it fair to at least assume Flowers has some sort of consciousness.
If all this holds true assimilation WOULD affect Flowers to some extent.

Arguments Against
In The Whistle Occurrence, Flowers has only shown be able to interact with anything electronic related. While the former Roblox employee DOES state its like a parasite, there hasn't been much in canon that demonstrates its a "living" being that'd be capable of getting assimilated. Even if Flowers is vulnerable to assimilation, its likely it possesses enough cognitive thought to know something's wrong and bail out before ever being in danger.
While one of the series creators has gone on record saying Serverblight's assimilation being soul based is a very shoddy idea due to other franchise and series clouding up the idea of a soul, Serverblight in canon has never (at least yet) assimilated an NPC. Assimilation in the series has always portrayed the person irl being masked in a wave of hands before being fully assimilated, leaving their body practically lifeless afterwards.
Even then, Flowers being more "digital" than Serverblight likely means its able to resist or flat out avoid assimilation entirely.
Overall
Flowers
- Pretty much ignored every attempt Roblox has taken to kill it
- Destroyed several devices and infected Aiden's Wi-Fi despite being secured
- Killed and hospitalized multiple people and deterred thousands from the platform
- Harassed shrekt360 for several months until they left the platform
- Scared Aiden shitless to the point he became quiet in videos after The Hunt For The Whistle
- Considered a cryptid in the Roblox community and tanked the reputation of Roblox as a company
- Does kind of do its job right all things considered icl
Serverblight
- Assimilated hundreds to thousands into it's hivemind
- Outsmarted SailerMan's group by blocking the most avilable escape route
- Shrugged off any damaged done to blighted like it never happened
- Made dicksalot watch several people be assimilated
- Invaded both public and custom servers
- Learned more and more methods to fuck with people
- Remained undetected by Valve (for now, as of writing)
- Became unintentional allies with SailerMan

Verdict
For a fight like this, stats are pretty much irrelevant. Their hax and other abilities are thekey focus of this fight nor would they even get to to a point where they'd be physical, but maybe you can make and argument for speed being an important factor but the verdict will naturally debunk that idea.
We've broken the main categories of this fight into 3 different factors starting with:
Offense
On the first hand, you'd think Serverblight despite the gap in abilities Serverblight would still be able to one-shot Flowers with assimilation, right?
Well both on a surface level are highly capable, but Serverblight only really has a major effect on conscious beings, it wouldn't be able to affect NPCs, and if it tries to it would just alert Flowers. Serverblight can't really do much for offense outside of what a player can, and assimilation is a debatable topic. Flowers on the other hand could deal with blighted in multiple ways, including data corruption, causing an outage, using BFR, and so on. No matter how you look at it, Flowers just has enough options to kill any blighted it comes across.
Ok, well could Serverblight maybe drag out Flowers to the point it loses interest? Well probably not. Serverblight is a very docile entity, only really staying wherever its already inhabited, feeding off people who happen to join into its domain, Flowers on the other hand, harassed shrekt360 for several months straight, and is extremely unpredictable with it's appearances. Once Flowers is aware of Serverblight, it won't stop going after it.
Offense easily goes to Flowers
Offense easily goes to Flowers
Defense
While Flowers has the upper hand in the number of ways it can affect Serverblight, Serverblight can still handle itself, and make the process impossibly slow for Flowers. The Whistle likely would be ineffective and there's no players behind the screen, nullifying Flowers' main or "signature" ability. It would have to opt to Data Corruption or disconnecting blighted, which leaves the hectic process of spotting them in the first place, which Serverblight is highly capable of blending in, and orchestrating player interactions.
Flowers is also only semi-tangible, and its superior shapeshifting makes it harder to reach or affect, and if things go south it can just resort to BFR or kicking out blighted.
Flowers is also only semi-tangible, and its superior shapeshifting makes it harder to reach or affect, and if things go south it can just resort to BFR or kicking out blighted.
If Serverblight we're to stash blighted in a secret server, Flowers has been shown to ignore server size limits and force entry into private servers.
To put it shortly, while the average blighted is able to recover from basically anything that isn't an instant kill move, Flowers is able to manifest non physically, retreat to another place, and so on.
While the both of them are nearly as unkillable as the other, its the best bet to call this one a tie.
Control
So maybe Serverblight can squeeze a win if its more limiting than Flowers? All roads lead to who can hold a tighter grip over the other.
Serverblight has a good grasp on your game, but its not absolute. People have been able to outsmart Serverblight using its own weaknesses against it as well as craftier solutions like votekicking it out of their game, but if Serverblight is able to assimilate someone, it should have total control your account and what is capable of doing in TF2. Going off this logic, it should be able to control what Flowers is able to do in response, should you think assimilation does contain some sort of effect on it, right?
Well, on Flowers' side, Flowers is able to directly manipulate the game's skybox, teleport you to completely different places and even completely destroy devices if provoked enough. No matter how you look at it, Flowers is able to one up whatever Serverblight can dish out, but Serverblight does have an edge over Flowers as Flowers has never been shown to prevent people from leaving the game. There's arguments you can make for either side but as we see it, Flowers simply has too much going for it.
Flowers takes this category.
Secondary Factors
Unpredictably
You could easily argue that Severblight acting strategically is in its favor, that it would only really be taking calculated risks, waiting for the right moment to act. However, those calculations kinda go down the drain when you don't know what to expect from who you're facing. Flowers can effectively hide itself, Serverblight wouldn't know when it's being watched unless Flowers wants to make itself known. Not only that but Flowers' behavior is generally irrational, you can't ever really be sure of what's coming. While yes, you can come to understand certain triggers, even that doesn't entirely guarantee your safety.
Flowers undoubtedly takes unpredictability
Flowers undoubtedly takes unpredictability
Blighted Vs NPCs
Comparing Blighted against Flowers' NPCs should also be examined as maybe Serverblight could take control of them to land a killing blow when Flowers doesn't expect it? Well, NPCs in canon are likely an extension of Flowers and its influence over the game as a whole. When Aiden and his friend used a hacked client to nab a copy of an infested game, they stated there wasn't anything inside of them. Serverblight's assimilation seems to only be able to extend to actual people in the real world, and we have never seen Serverblight assimilate NPCs in TF2. Even if NPCs could be assimilated, it’s likely Flowers would recognize that and immediately respond violently as a result, which is something it routinely does if it ever happens. While Serverblight has an extremely powerful healing factor which can bounce back from almost anything, NPCs are just built too different.
Flowers just has the better (albeit smaller) army.
Intelligence
This one isn't even a contest, Serverblight is just far, far smarter. Being smarter, its definitely able to come up with a possibly game winning plan whereas Flowers mostly acts on impulse.
Tertiary Factors
While Flowers has likely been around for a while longer, due to the fact it Serverblight seems to have manifested around 2024/5 (assuming the upload time takes place around the same year which it should), Serverblight ultimately has far more experience with its set abilities whereas Flowers typically acts on impulse and never really learned what it can do.
Outcome
"I love you."
Advantages
+ Far, far more ruthless
+ Various forms avoid physical contact
+ Better hax and kill potential
+ Device destruction can likely perma kill blighted or disconnect SB from assimilated
+ BFR is unavoidable and a very easy win-con to land
+ Will learn more about blighted as the fight continues...
+ If Blighted are ever too much in numbers, Flowers can just kick them out of the game
+ Can invade private servers means Blighted don't have anywhere safe
Disadvantages
- ... But not at the same rate as Serverblight
- Hasn't been shown to prevent people from leaving a game, so Serverblight could possibly escape an encounter
- Not as intelligent and more predictable as a result of it
- Wouldn't go for win-cons until provoked enough
- Worse mimicry, which Serverblight will likely see through
- Likely vulnerable while physically manifested
- Prone to being tricked by Serverblight
- Emotions could be influenced by Serverblight
- Can only die once
Serverblight
Advantages
+ FAR smarter and a faster learner
+ More experienced in general
+ Has an army that can actually fight
+ Has a potential stalemate condition by assimilating more players...
+ Overwhelms Flowers in numbers
+ Superior, less obvious mimicry
+ SAVIOR serves as a good distraction, and an "ideal" player
+ Overwhelms Flowers in numbers
+ Superior, less obvious mimicry
+ SAVIOR serves as a good distraction, and an "ideal" player
+ Blighted regeneration makes them very hard to put down
+ Can likely exploit how Flowers acts if it ever fully figures it out
+ Resists a good chunk of Flower's hax...
Disadvantages
- Slightly limited reach to Flowers as it can't stretch out of bounds
-... Although this would only last for a while
- Limited capabilities due to being rule bound
- Limited capabilities due to being rule bound
- ... But cannot resist fight enders like BFR or devices being destroyed
- Cannot avoid Flower's stalking and unpredictability
- Sadistic personality could lead to openings
- Blighted stashed in hidden servers can be discovered by Flowers
Final Thoughts
To put it blunt, this fight is fucking insane to think about, these 2 can give the other a run for their money, but Flowers edges out in several key categories. Serverblight, while not a pushover, doesn't possess enough firepower to put this flower down.
The winner is Flowers. (2–0)
